I read from the Denver Post subscription, about a jeep falling 1,000 feet and a woman was killed. This matters to me, because it makes me realize once more on a subject that has been creeping up on me for seamingly ages. It matters to me, because all that is blogged and on the news these days is nothing but nasty foul things happening in the world and how thta needs to change. How it matters to education is that the news is only saying terrible things that have happened instead of happy things and how the world is progressing. I think articles like the one that i read are a huge contributer to depression for soem people.

ReplyDeleteRemember to talk about what matters and why in your topic sentence including linking to the original article and identifying the title and author. Also, the paragraph should be a summary of what matters, how it connects to you, to education, and to the world. You connect to the article, and talk about a connection to education, but miss the summary and world pieces. Then, finish with a clear concluding sentence. Your entry could benefit from some proofreading as well. Please redo.
stand up taller but other than that you spoke clearly and I understood what you were talking about
ReplyDeleteGood point on your connection to the news.
ReplyDeleteGood job not looking at your notes! and good job being prepared.
ReplyDeleteIt seemed as though you just restated the same things over and over, just in a different way.
ReplyDeleteGood Presentation, try to rehurse it a little more
ReplyDeleteYou had good posture and you spoke good but you could speak a little louder and you kinda paused and said um and uhh but overall good.
ReplyDeleteYou didnt have that much to taalk about because your post was exstremly short. good posture you stood strait up the whole time but next time practice your presentation was short and you sometimes where not understandable, you had good pace though.
ReplyDeleteJosh you made a good point in your presentation, and your question was very creative.
ReplyDeleteI would make it both because you can get everyones attention and good new would make people happy.
ReplyDeleteGood presentation nice question at the end
ReplyDeleteRead the Newspaper, its not all bad stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt looked like you have practiced before you came up, it looks clean. Way to stay on topic throughout the presentation. It was a good question.
ReplyDeleteNice reference to yellow-journalism, and you need to stand still you where shifting from foot to foot.
ReplyDeleteI think it needs to be more organized. I also think that you shouldn't repeat your imformation so much. Other than that, i believe you had good posture and good volume. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteYou need an attention graber to start off. Your presentation had a lot of your personality and you werent always reading from a note card. How does it affect ourselves? Education? World around us?
ReplyDeletegood speech and you talked very clearly. your question was good and it made me think about news
ReplyDeleteGood memorization of what your saying. Answers question "What Matters" well. Stands up straight. No fidgeting. Looked at audience almost the whole time.
ReplyDeleteYou have good eye contact, but better speech, but good question and have better interaction with audience.
ReplyDeleteHad a good point on news and how it depresses you. Just need to talk more fluently, had good position, and had some good points. Nice question at the end.
ReplyDeletegood postre nice speaking voice "the question I leave you with" that was good.
ReplyDeleteNice question. I like your presentation. Nothing goofy with your hands is always a good thing.
ReplyDeletevery good points, good voice, good notes, very good presentation overall.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good topic and you didn't need to read your cards but you kind of made the same points a few times
ReplyDeleteGood job! You didn't stand up all the way though so try to straighten your back next time.
